Drama games are the most fun part of any theatre class or camp, and they're a great introduction to the performing arts. In this ongoing course, we'll develop confidence and creativity while working as a team to play group creative games, create characters and scenes based on our imagination, and take part in fun activities, such as an indoor scavenger hunt, talent show, lip-sync battle, and costume design with items in your house. Students will expand upon their understanding of theatre and grasp concepts such as projection, diction, characterization, scene writing, energy, and more. Students will learn how to properly warm up their bodies and voices before performing and how to play popular character tropes such as the Villain, the Princess, the Grandmother, etc.
Our instructors are professional Teaching Artists in Atlanta, GA ~ acting in theatre & film, as well as teaching & directing kids in the performing arts.
a water bottle will be helpful to stay hydrated!
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
For this fun and engaging course, students should be in an open area where they can move around freely and speak loudly if necessary! Students may find it helpful to have a water bottle nearby and should wear close-toed shoes to class.
