In this class, we will use our imaginations to practice fun yoga poses and activities that are healthy for the younger yogi’s body, mind, and spirit. Each day, we will move through yogic breathing and a warm up, themed yoga poses and a game/activity, a cool down, and age-appropriate meditation/relaxation time. Daily themes may include but are not limited to the following: animals, nature, shapes, food, holidays, superheroes, weather, etc. With my guidance, the students will actively...
- A yoga mat or similar soft, nonslip flooring on which to practice. - Suitable room to move arms and legs freely. - Comfortable clothing with bare feet or socks with grips.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Yoga is a wonderfully beneficial activity for the mind and body. Following class, students may choose to continue practicing the poses and techniques on their own; in that case, please be sure to provide proper adult supervision.
