My son and I joined Outschool in September of 2019. We also started homeschooling at the same time. I enjoy being a parent and a teacher with Outschool. I receive valuable insight due to my two roles.

-I love learning. I love learning about writing, science, literature, arts, history, and many more topics.
-I have done a lot of research, took classes, and in many cases received certification for the following:
social skills, happiness, mindfulness, crisis intervention, mental illness, disabilities, self-esteem for elementary and middle schoolers
-I have lead many clubs and classes in these areas too. I also have extensive knowledge of the impact of stress, mental illness, chronic illness, and environmental circumstances on a person's learning.
-Soccer Player and Coach: eons
-I love working with children.
To maximize the amount of learning, I will provide a short video or information sheet before each class meeting. This enables the students to have background information before applying the skills. This will take less than 5 minutes to complete.

Each student will take a different amount of time to write. Some students will need a little extra time between classes to write.
papers, pencil, and eraser We will play Kahoot during the 2nd and 4th class meetings. Kahoot requires two devices like phones, tablets, and computers. If this is a problem, please contact me so I can plan an alternative.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
The paragraph essentially is an assessment. I will not provide grades. If students provide a written/typed paragraph for me to analyze, I will send feedback to the parents.
1 hour 40 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
This class is a type of blended learning style. Students will watch and preview a document before each class meeting to optimize the learning potential. Everything will be posted on the Outschool Classroom Page. Students may need reminders to do the class prep work. We will play Kahoot during the second and fourth class periods. Students need two devices to play like a phone, tablet, or computer. If you have questions or do not have 2 devices please let me know so I can provide an alternative.
