Little people have big emotions! Grumpy is an important, and common one for children. What makes us grumpy? What strategies do we use to turn our day around? This emotion is a positive and important feeling for both children and adults. We do not want to try to eliminate this feeling - we want to try to develop skills to better handle it. - Class will begin with a short story - Students will then share about a time when they were Grumpy - They will try to identify what they did to turn the emotion around - They will have the opportunity to listen to other little learners share their experiences Communication and identifying strategies that work in their own little worlds are the focus of this class. Students can colour while they listen to the story. A Grumpy page will be attached to the classroom.
