In this class, I help build learners' confidence in speaking English as a Foreign Language through show-and-tell using their favorite toys.
In our small group of six or fewer, we practice English grammar by showing off and describing our favorite toy. First, we start with introductions. Then, we take turns presenting our favorite toy followed by answering questions others may have (3-5 minutes). As the facilitator, I encourage students to speak using full sentences. Each student receives a brief informal assessment after each class that includes what the student did well and recommendations for improvement.
