In this class, students will learn how to illustrate their own name. These illustrations will be crafted from ideas of things the learner loves as well as how they see themselves in the world around. The class will start with prompts to spur creative ideas and will end with the learner creating a beautiful piece of art. Ms. Deana is an art and theatre teacher with over 16 years of teaching experience. She is certified to teach both art and theatre and has an extensive background in each. Ms. Deana is also certified to teach AP Art.
White paper, pencil and eraser, ruler, and colors makers of the learners choice (colored pencils, markers, watercolors, etc...)
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Learners will be asked a few questions about themselves but none of the answers will be shared with anyone. The questions are used as prompts to spur creativity in their art pieces. Students will use glue, sharpies, and scissors.
