Preschool artists will create an illustration of a winter landscape by using a tape resist technique to make birch trees and draw a creature hibernating under the snow. They will use crayon to draw a foreground, middle ground, background and details. We will read the book Over and Under the Snow. Through the use of storytelling, games and songs preschoolers will learn about foreground, middle ground and background. 1. Card stock or heavy weight paper is best (but any paper will work) 2. Crayons of various colors 3. 1 inch painter, masking or artist tape 4. Watercolor paint, brush and water cup 5. Glue 6. Precut out paper oval approximately 3 inches x 2 inches
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
35 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Parental guidance is required to assist with cutting and pasting.
