+ Participants will have the opportunity to get to meet each other and connect over their common ground as Japanese students at varying levels of the IJC series. + Participants will get to ask questions, hear commentary, and chat about the Japanese language and culture we encounter in the show/film. + Participants will get to work on teams to show off their knowledge of Japanese anime, language, and culture.

In order to fully participate in the watch party's viewings (and not just the Zoom-hosted meeting), please read and follow the instructions below. While I'll be happy to post these instructions and troubleshoot with folks in the chat box in Zoom during the meeting as well, I intend to start the viewing as soon as possible after starting--so it would be best to check off all these to-do's beforehand so as not to miss anything! INSTRUCTIONS 1. Sign up for this watch party! 2. Double-check that the episodes we will be viewing together are available in your region, and look for alternative ways of viewing them if not. 3. Get familiar with the apps and extensions we'll be using together, specifically Language Reactor and Kahoot (details under "Sources" below). 4. Show up on time to avoid missing any part of the show/film or other directions given during the meeting. 5.
