A fun face will be framed by funky patterns using crayons or oil pastels to create a resist for their watercolor painting. We will discuss how to create symmetry, contrast, and a focal point. Watch the magic of the design pop through the watercolor paint as it covers the entire paper. Although we will all be using similar techniques, each one will turn out to be very unique based on the individual colors and patterns chosen. The thing I love most about seeing the results at the end of class is that each learner`is always so creative displaying their own artistic style!
Learning Goals
Students will learn how to incorporate symmetry, repetition, and detail into their artwork using drawing and painting techniques.
