Class Experience

Students will gain skills in a specific technique, creativity, composition, and use of the Elements and Principles of Art and Design in their work.
Each of our teachers are experienced artists and teachers who love to share their passion of art and creativity with others.
No homework will be assigned unless they feel they would like to spend more time refining their work.
This will vary based on the skill requested: ✏️Drawing: Drawing Paper Pencil - that can be sharpened, not a mechanical pencil (a variety of drawing pencils are helpful but not necessary) Eraser Colored Pencils, charcoal, pastels, etc. are optional materials *Optional Blending Tools - blending stump, Q-tip, tissue, etc. 🎨Acrylic Painting: Painting Surface (this can vary with what supplies you have at home): Stretched canvas, canvas board, cardboard, thick paper, recycled materials like the inside of a cereal box, etc. Recommended sizes are 8" X 10", 9" X 12", or 11" X 14" Pencil Eraser Acrylic Paint Brushes - a variety of sizes (If you don’t have fine detail brushes, toothpicks can be helpful) Water Cup Paper Towel Palette - this can be a paper plate, a sheet of wax paper, or an old magazine For easy cleanup, a placemat and apron or paint shirt are encouraged 🖌️Watercolor Painting: Painting Surface (this can vary with what supplies you have at home): Watercolor Paper (thin paper will wear a hole through and lead to frustration) Pencil Eraser Watercolor Paint Brushes - a variety of sizes (If you don’t have fine detail brushes, toothpicks can be helpful) Water Cup Paper Towel For easy cleanup, a placemat and apron or paint shirt are encouraged
Guidance will be provided every step of the way.
