In this class, we will learn fun, fast techniques to spark the imagination and use different techniques to build your learner's drawing and sketching skills.
Class experience
We will complete several skill-building exercises that will teach your learner about observation skills, contour line drawing, gesture drawing, perspective, proportion, using and combining shapes, shading, and more if time allows. We will not be completing one finished drawing in this class, rather, we will move quickly through techniques that your learner will be able to use as they continue their drawing practice. Learners will gain observation skills and learn how to use contour line drawing, gesture drawing, perspective, proportion, the use of any combination of shapes, and shading to implement them in future large-scale drawing projects.

Drawing Paper or Sketchbook Pencil - that can be sharpened, not a mechanical pencil as it makes it harder to shade with (a variety of drawing pencils are helpful but not necessary) Eraser *Optional Blending Tools - blending stump, Q-tip, tissue, etc.
