You can’t help but smile when you see this cute little face, right? Let’s visit the farm by creating a cow's adorable face while learning how to utilize brush strokes to mix colors as we progress through this painting together. This is a great class for beginners but if you have painting experience you can take it one step farther and use more advanced techniques! We will start by sketching out the main shapes and painting the background in your favorite color. Then we will create...
This class is taught in English.
Students will gain skills in painting, composition, and creating value to enhance their painting with texture and details.
I am a K-12 certified art teacher and have been teaching for 20+ years to a variety of age ranges both in schools and in the private sector.
No homework will be assigned unless they feel they would like to spend more time refining their painting.
Painting surface 8” X 10”, 9” X 12”, or 11” X 14” (this can vary with what supplies you have at home): Stretched canvas, canvas board, cardboard, thick paper, recycled materials like the inside of a cereal box, etc. Pencil Acrylic paint - I used white, black, yellow, and pink. You may want a brown cow, or a green background so you may use any combination of colors you wish and we will mix lighter and darker colors as needed. Brushes - a variety of sizes Water Cup Paper Towel A placemat and paint shirt or apron are recommended
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Guidance will be provided every step of the painting.
1 hour 15 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
