In this one time class, students will listen to a read aloud, If you were a Contraction and then particpate in a mini lesson on contractions. The student will be able to generate their own contractions by the end of class.

Description
Class Experience
The students will learn the definition of a contraction and how to write contractions.
I have taught a lesson on contractions to a first grade class.
Locate contractions in the next book you listen to or read.
The book, If you were a contraction will be provided by the teacher. Your student will need to bring a pencil and paper to class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
The learner will be assessed on their ability to generate their own contractions.
30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
