In this 25 minute class, students will listen to me read a story called If You Take a Mouse to School by Laura Numeroff. Students will predict what they think will happen in the story, answer simple comprehension questions throughout the story, and participate in a discussion afterward about what took place during the story. This helps students actively think about what's going on the entire time I'm reading! After reading, students will color their mouse picture and draw and/or write what they think would happen if a mouse came to school! Students will have the opportunity to share their activity page with their classmates. I look forward to spending time with your children and showing them how FUN reading can be! Hi there! I live in Kansas with my husband, my 3 precious children, and our beloved dog. I love photography, animals, reading, and spending time exploring around town with my little ones. I have a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in English as a Second Language. I am in the process of finishing up my masters degree in Education with an emphasis in being a reading specialist. I have 6 years experience working as a first and second grade teacher and worked one year as a reading specialist in an elementary school. I also have experience teaching English online to children in China. I love teaching all subjects, but reading and math are my very favorite! I also love teaching arts and crafts and doing them myself!

I encourage learners to participate in the classroom discussion! I will mute all learners when I'm reading, giving directions, or listening to a learner and will unmute when everyone can share. Feel free to mute your child as needed.
*Siblings*
Each learner must be enrolled in the class. However, siblings may share a screen if both are enrolled.
*Refunds/Transfers*
Outschool's refund policy: "Full refund within 24 hours of purchase or up to a week in advance of the class."
For one-time classes:
If you know you will be unable to attend class please request a transfer at least 24 hours in advance. I will not be able to transfer or refund after class.
*Class Cancellations*
If a class has not met the minimum number of enrollments, it is subject to being canceled. I will contact you to see if you would like to transfer or receive a refund. If I do not receive a response, I will go ahead and give a refund.Reviews
