Description

Class Experience

If you love robots, this is the class for you! 
Learners will begin class with a quick ice breaker to help them get to know each other! They can bring a robot toy to class so that they can share it with others. 
We will read a story about a robot who has a problem called, "Clink" by Kelly DiPucchio. Learners will be encouraged to share connections, ask questions, and make predictions about the story. 
After the story, learners will brainstorm their dream robot. They can draw it and label its...

Learners will be able to practice their speaking skills by sharing about their favorite robot.
Learners will improve their reading comprehension and vocabulary by listening to a fun story.
Learners will be able to use their creativity and fine motor skills to design a robot.

No homework is required.

Learners will need paper and art supplies, such as pencils, colored pencils, crayons, or markers. 
Learners may chose to bring a robot picture or toy to class to share at the beginning.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

No assessments for class.

30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

No parental guidance is needed.
