Students will learn reading skills, listening skills, and art skills as they complete a craft for the class. Students will hear me read the story to them and I will share the pictures from the book. I will show the children how to complete a simple craft project step by step. No background knowledge is required as I will be reading the story. It would be helpful the children are familiar with using children's scissors for craft time. Some parent assistance may be needed during craft time if not. Progress is evaluated by their level of excitement for the story and craft!!

Your child has the option to follow me along in the book. If You Give A Pig A Pancake. You can grab a copy on Amazon.com for around $13.00 US or under. This is totally optional. I am including a printable PDF download for our arts and crafts time in the end. You will also need children's scissors, crayons, and glue. I encourage your child to bring a stuffed animal to story time.

I am offering this class to get children excited about reading and opening up their imaginations. I have owned and operated my own family daycare since 2012. Where I have brought books alive with multiple age groups of children. As I read I engage children during storytime to help them feel like they are apart of the learning experience. I also homeschool my daughter and reading has been a very important part of her curriculum.
