Class Experience

Learners will be taught to organize thoughts and ideas by creating key word outlines from fiction and non-fiction texts, and writing paragraphs from them. They will dress up their writing by systematically adding parts of speech such as adverbs, strong verbs, and quality adjectives. Learners will also practice varied sentence structure by using a different sentence opener.
Homework will be assigned each week. You can expect up to two hours of work at times to be done outside of class, depending on the unit we are studying.

Google Docs is mandatory for grading purposes.

Vocabulary quizzes will also be assigned, but are optional for participation.
