Course Overview:
This class is dedicated to refining writing skills through the IEW Structure and Style for Students (SSS) Level A curriculum. Students will focus on essential writing techniques such as effective note-taking, outlining, creating paragraphs, retelling narratives, and summarizing material from references.

Topics Covered:

Techniques for note-taking and outlining
Writing based on notes
Retelling narratives
Summarizing information from references
Using stylistic tools (e.g., strong action verbs, LY adverbs, who/which clauses)
Editing and refining writing

Weekly Class Structure:

Class 1/2: Introduction to new vocabulary, exploration of texts, brainstorming ideas, and organizing outlines.
Class 2/2 Review of vocabulary, introduction to stylistic techniques, and guided writing practice with individualized feedback.
