About the Course: This is a live paper grading session specifically for IEW assignments. During this one-on-one session, I’ll work directly with your student to review their writing, provide constructive feedback, and make corrections together in real time. This interactive approach helps students learn from their mistakes and grow as writers. Join me for a live paper grading session specifically designed for IEW assignments! Before our time together, students can submit their outline, rough draft, and checklist, which lets us jump right into personalized feedback and real-time revisions. I specialize in a variety of writing topics that I’m truly passionate about: Creative Storytelling (Adventures in Writing Book): I love helping students unleash their creativity, guiding them to develop memorable characters and thrilling plots that captivate their readers. Structure and Style Essays: Using the IEW Structure and Style method, I focus on helping students organize their ideas and use stylistic techniques that make their writing shine. Research Reports (Wonders of Science Book): I enjoy teaching students how to present their scientific discoveries clearly and engagingly, making complex concepts accessible and interesting. Persuasive Writing & Summarizing Texts: I guide students in crafting compelling arguments while also helping them summarize and analyze texts effectively, enhancing their critical thinking skills. Target Audience: This session is perfect for students using the IEW method who want some one-on-one guidance. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to refine your skills, I welcome students from elementary through high school. If you’re feeling stuck with structure or just want to polish your writing, this is a great opportunity for you! Learning Goals: Improve Writing Structure: Students will learn to apply structured techniques to organize their ideas and enhance the clarity of their writing. Master Revision Skills: Students will develop their ability to identify areas for improvement in their writing and practice revising their work for stronger content and style. Gain Confidence in Writing: Through personalized feedback, students will build confidence in their writing abilities and learn to apply constructive criticism effectively. About the Teacher: Welcome to my page! I’m a third-generation teacher who was homeschooled from kindergarten through 12th grade. Growing up surrounded by educators, I was inspired to pursue the same path. After earning my BA from NCSU in 2023, I became a registered instructor with the Institute for Excellence in Writing in 2024. Since then, I’ve been teaching both English Language Arts and Spanish. Feel free to explore my website or send me an email—I’d love to help your students discover the magic of the IEW method! Teaching Style & Method: My approach is all about collaboration and support. I believe that writing is a journey, and I’m here to celebrate your progress and help you grow. Together, we’ll identify what’s working and where you can improve, making sure you understand how each step in the writing process connects to the next. I strive to create a comfortable environment where you can feel confident experimenting with your writing.
