Students will improve their understanding of the basic parts of speech, proper punctuation, the indentation of paragraphs, and basic capitalization rules. Students will learn new vocabulary.
I am an accredited IEW instructor.
Students should label sentences in class and rewrite the corrected sentences after each lesson in their notebooks. Students may submit their written work to me at any time if they want feedback; however, homework to be turned in will not be assigned. Students will complete some review lessons independently.
Students will need the student book for Fix It! Grammar: The Nose Tree. https://iew.com/shop/products/fix-it-grammar-nose-tree-student-book-1 Students must have access to Nearpod.com Students should have a dictionary or other way of looking up vocabulary words when they are assigned. **Please note that, while not required, it is very helpful if students are able to annotate in class when asked to do so. Chromebooks do not allow this feature. Students using Chromebooks will be asked to participate in the chat or on the mic.***
