IEW Fix It! Grammar: Book 2 Town Mouse and Country Mouse Semester 1

Syllabus: Fix-It Grammar Book 2 - Town Mouse and Country Mouse (Semester 1)
Course Overview: This 15-week course is designed for students to continue their grammar journey by defining parts of speech, learning basic comma and capitalization rules, and understanding complex sentence patterns.

Required Materials:
•	Fix-It Grammar: Level 2 Town Mouse and Country Mouse Student Book: Link to book
•	New Grammar Cards: Link to cards

Weekly Structure:
1.	Learn It!: On the first day of the new week, read through the Learn It section to cover a new grammar concept.
2.	Read It!: Read the day’s passage and review bolded vocabulary words.
3.	Mark It!: Mark the passage using the guide at the top of the daily practice page.
4.	Fix It!: Correct the passage using the guide at the top of the daily practice page.
We will mark and fix as many passages as we have time for in class each week. Any remaining passages will be completed as homework.

•	Rewrite It!: After marking, correcting, and discussing the passage with the teacher, copy the corrected passage on the lines provided or into a separate notebook.
o	Copy the corrected story, not the editing marks.
o	Indent and use capital letters properly.
o	Copy the corrected punctuation.

This course will help students enhance their grammar skills in a fun and engaging way while building a solid foundation for advanced grammar concepts.
