In this one-time class, learners will get a chance to develop their public speaking, build their talking confidence, social and communication skills, and enjoy engaging conversations, with lots of useful techniques, and talking tips.

After a quick vocal and mouth warm-up, which learners can take away and use themselves in the future, we'll break the ice further with some fun (but very useful- as Mrs. T will explain) tongue twisters, so we'll be all warmed up and ready to have a chat. For most people their biggest challenges for public speaking are not knowing what to say, worrying about saying the wrong thing, or sounding silly. Through engaging in fun conversation questions, learning useful warm-ups, and talking tips learners can build their confidence, communication, and social skills.
I am a fully qualified teacher (BAPA, PGCE) with 16+ years of experience teaching Drama (and some Music, PSHCE, and English) to 11 to 15 years olds and Performing Arts to 16 to 18 year olds in bricks and mortar schools, where I currently still teach part-time, including running small group and 1:1 confidence building workshops. I also have many years of experience leading community workshop schemes (like create a play in a week) and local drama groups for ages 4 to 16. As a professional actress, I've performed for children from ages 2-14 in theatres, arts centres, social clubs, historical properties, nurseries, and schools. Playing roles such as the Gingerbread man and a tortoise, to a wartime headmistress and Queen Elizabeth the first! With lots of Q & A and interactive workshops along the way. I then branched into presenting (live, events, radio, TV, and for holiday companies across Europe) including some Voiceover work. I currently create and present drama and presenter tuition videos. I have produced and directed many productions (musicals and plays) as well, including some I have written myself.
