In this interactive read aloud, Gorilla Loves Vanilla, written by Chae Strathie, learners will: - enjoy and participate in the fun adventures of the main character - be introduced to rhyming words as we chant the pairs of words that rhyme - complete a hands-on ice cream matching activity together - have the opportunity to retell parts of the story - learn or review the front cover, back cover, title page, author, and illustrator I will ensure that each student is involved and participating, and will praise and reward students for their efforts. This will be a very fun class!
Learning Goals
Learners will successfully identify rhyming words pairs. Learners will demonstrate comprehension of the text and communicate parts of a book.
My overall goal is for the learners to enjoy the learning as they master the skills.
