We will go on a SPLASHING adventure together by diving deep into the story, I Wish I Was an Orca! Students will be asked to think deeply about the non-fiction text using various reading strategies. Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello wonderful guardian!
I am currently a K-2 English Language Arts teacher at a local private school in Texas. I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education and a state of Texas teacher certificate. With over 11 years of classroom teacher experience, 5 years of home educating experience, and the desire to provide all students with an excellent education, I am confident in my ability to meet the needs of your child and get him/her excited about learning!
My teaching career has been geared toward the empowerment of elementary school children. I have a strong passion to educate young minds and help them blossom into well rounded, responsible, and successful individuals. Throughout the course of my career, I have had wonderful opportunities to teach diverse groups of students, including those with disabilities, those at grade level, those who are gifted/exceptional, and students from a range of socio-economic conditions. As a result, I have become proficient at designing creative and stimulating lesson plans, which accommodate multiple intelligences, brings a hands-on learning approach to learning, and keeps students interested and focused. I've been known to turn my classroom into a jungle, a ninja training center, secret agent head quarters, or even into Mario World in order to create meaningful and engaging lessons that children will never forget. Doing that digitally requires a little creativity, but the kids still thoroughly enjoy themselves in such an experience.
I have two kids who are the LOVE of my life and a wonderful husband that I adore. We live out on a farm in the middle of no-where with goats and chickens and lots of critters. I wouldn't have it any other way!
