Mummies are some of the most fascinating parts of not only Ancient Egyptian history but also the world. Together, we will look at the process of mummification and understand how it happened and why! We will look at mummies that have been found (like King Tut!) and visit an animated 360' tomb to look through some of the treasures (and body parts) that were left behind! They will learn about the Ba, Ka, and the Egyptians belief in the afterlife. We will examine the mummification process that includes the : removal of the organs, drying and cleaning of the body, wrapping of the mummy, and the use of amulets and masks. Please join me for class, I don't want to be left alone with my MUMMY!

This class uses an interactive room where the students can navigate and click on information all during class. It is best done if you can be on zoom on one screen and then have a laptop or tablet that you can access the link on the other. This is not necessary but it will allow the students to see my screen as well as their own as we are discussing the topics together .
