US Grade Preschool - Kindergarten
In this one-time class we will read “I Wanna Be a Great Big Dinosaur!” By Heath McKenzie. Students will be encouraged to "Roarrrr!" and stomp! This is a funny story featuring a boy and a T-Rex. The boy wants to be a dinosaur so the T-Rex teaches the boy important dinosaur stuff. Before, during, and after the story students will be asked questions about the story. Each student will be given multiple times to participate. After our story students will create a T-Rex using a paper plate that they have painted before class (it could also be painted once assembled). This can also be created from a large piece of construction paper. Please note that an adult will need to draw the lines on the paper plate for your child to cut out. I will have a picture of the paper plate in the classroom which you will have access to once you sign up.
