Class Experience
We will begin this class by reviewing 2D and 3D shapes before jumping into our fun activity. Students will get a chance to express what they know so far about shapes, and ask any questions they may have. We will listen to a fun song that gives examples of things in our daily lives that represent each shape. After the warm up comes the fun part...scavenger hunt time! Students will grab their imaginary magnifying glasses and set out to find as many examples of shapes in their current room as...
Students will differentiate between 2D and 3D shapes and be able to identify them in a real life setting.
I have been an elementary school teacher for 3 years and have done this lesson many times! Every group of students loved it, and each time we wished for more time to explore this activity. I have developed many classroom management skills over the years and I am able to engage a class of young learners with ease! These skills have been applied in my classes in person and through virtual learning.

45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
