US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - Kindergarten
Hello! Welcome to I Scream for STEAM! In this class we will be using Science and the Scientific Method with the help of our TEAM subjects to explore the world around us. Each class will be 25 minutes long and will include an activity, experiment, or project based on our topic for the day. We will start the class with introductions and then introduce our topic for the day. We sing our Scientific Method Song as we move through the process! We will ask questions, make hypotheses, conduct experiments, and at the end we will draw conclusions! After class, the students will be able to share their new knowledge with their families as I will provide each student with a handout from what we covered in class. I love learning and having fun! Each class we will gather as a group to sing, move our bodies, and learn! I will conduct the experiment in my laboratory while the students are engaged with asking questions and observing what is happening! Students will have the chance to draw their conclusion of what we saw and share with the class if they so choose but that is up to each student! In the classroom, its important for students to gather in small groups as well as individually which is why I have chosen to do these classes as small group activities! Each child will have the opportunity to introduce themselves, answer questions, observe, dance and LEARN! In this series we will cover the following questions: June 26-29: (Food Themed) Monday: Let's Investigate Mold Tuesday: I Can't Believe it's Butter Wednesday: Sorbet in a bag Thursday: Ice Cream in a bag (For this week I will provide a supply list in case anyone wants to make the edible foods- but they are not required!) Safety is particularly important with Science and some of our projects may need a little extra parent supervision for the little scientists. So that you will not have to be prepared each class I have chosen to provide the information for the class after we meet so you are able to do it on your own time if you so choose! Does your 4-6 year old love to explore and ask questions about how things work? I would love to have your child join me and explore the wonderful world of Science together!

Supply List
Please bring paper, the child's preferred drawing tools (crayons, markers, colored pencils), and themselves! I will supply a handout after class with what we used in class to re-do the experiment or project at home if they are interested!

Hello! My name is Tracy or as my students call me Miss Tracy! I currently teach ESL classes online to children ages 4-10 and love getting to meet so many new faces. Before that I spent my time in preschool classrooms getting to introduce the littlest learners (3-4 years old) the ways of school and getting used to school environments. The best part of teaching young students is I get to introduce them to the wonderful world of science, math, art, reading, and so much more! The smiles on their faces as they start to understand is priceless and keeps me wanting to come back and teach them more!
I have a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education and am certified to teach K-6. I also have obtained a certificate in the religious Montessori program Catechesis of the Good Shepherd for the 3-6-year old child. I have worked in preschool settings for about the last 6 years but have nannied and tutored for children of all ages. I have been working with children in some capacity since the age of 12, or for those counting the last 17 years! Children make me happy and keep me smiling!
Children have wonderful minds and I love seeing them in action! I believe teachers are there to be the guiding lights but that children will lead how far they can be challenged! I love giving the children the building blocks to make connections and discover new things but letting them get there on their own when they are ready! Each child is unique and I love having a classroom full of students eager to learn and gain insight and knowledge not only from me as the teacher but their peers as well! Children are complex creatures who need nurtured and I love creating that through hands on learning experiences for their minds to grow and explore!
Both of my parents are blind but that hasn't stopped either of them or myself from living life! They instilled a love for travel at a very young age and I yearn to travel again soon! They work hard and have always taught me that nothing can stop you! That is what I want to instill in my students!Reviews
