I Read, You Read, We Read circle time sessions allows children to read along with familiar stories. These 30 minutes sessions uses ongoing stories with Echo Reading to increase confidence, word recognition and reading comprehension. Your child will be given word phrases to practice reading, writing and saying prior to our session. During the session, familiar stories with the same word phrases will help young readers engage in the story. Each session begins with a singing activity, followed by our word review and reading, we will conclude with puzzles, coloring or storytelling. E-books will be used as our reading format. Our fun stories will be: Day One: The Napping House by Audrey Wood Day Two: Brown Brown Bear, What Do You See? by Bill Martin Jr. Day Three: The Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle Day Four: Is Your Mama Red Pajama? by Anna Dewdney Day Five: Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed by Eileen Christelow Students are not required to have a copy of the book. Stories will be read using Amazon Kindle.
Learning Goals
Your child will learn new sight words, increase reading comprehension and develop a love for reading. Young readers and ESL student will enjoy recognizing words in stories.

This course will uses teaching strategies Read, Write, Say and Echo Reading. Read, Write, Say allows learners to practice new words by reading the word in sentences or phrases, writing or tracing the words, and saying the words aloud individually. Echo Reading is a reading technique where instructors read a passage then students are encouraged to read the same passage.
