What's included
1 live meeting
40 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
In this class, learners will build on their communication skills by discussing different ways to respond when they disagree with someone. The objective of this class is to get the learner to be curious about others and the "why" behind what others are saying, believing, or thinking. For example: "If you go swimming in the ocean you will get eaten by a shark." –A reactive response would be "You are wrong because (insert all of their knowledge here). OR the learner can respond with curiosity, "Why do you think that?" to better understand where that information or belief is coming from. When we show interest in others they are more likely to be interested in the information we have to share. Students will practice: -getting curious when people think differently than them -asking questions -giving themselves time to think about what they will say -controlling their emotions -controlling their tone -taking turns speaking and listening -knowing when to walk away Class Format: hello/ice breaker lesson practice review
