In this interactive guitar lesson, student's will be working through the classic song "I Love Rock 'N Roll" by Joan Jett. Guitar "tab" style music sheets will be provided via download in the Outschool classroom. Students should be familiar with how to tune their guitars ***tuning guitars beforehand allows for more time to rock out during class*** Both acoustic and electric guitarists are welcome :) "I Love Rock 'N Roll" is a riff-based song, incorporating lots of single note playing. The class will place a lot of focus on rhythm and timing, thus serving as a very foundational course to the beginning guitarist.
Learning Goals
Students will learn how to play a new song using a "tab" style music sheet that they will be able to keep even after class time has expired.
