Description

Class Experience

Calling all little learners who love DOGS! In this one-time dog-themed early literacy class, students will gain knowledge and understanding of early literacy skills including rhyming, concept of word, sight words, and CVC words, and other early reading skills.

Class will focus around a “dog” theme.  Class will begin with an interactive dog-themed song/poem that we will read together.  We will focus on sight words, beginning sounds, punctuation, rhyming words, and concepts of print.  Next, we...

Students will gain knowledge and understanding of early reading skills focusing on rhyming, sight words, CVC words and various concepts of print

I will send home a dog-themed early reader and the poem prior to the start of class.  We will read them together during class, and you are welcome to continue reading it them home at the conclusion of class.

Please make sure your learner has the early reader printed off prior to the start of class.  Your learner may also have a stuffed dog or pet available at the end of class.  We will have a brief show and tell:)

25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
