Hello! I am excited to offer a class about dinosaurs for early learners. Thank you for considering this program to further your child's educational development. In this class, your student will listen, interact, sing, laugh, and learn about dinosaurs! Information about dinosaurs will be presented using a variety of learning techniques. Children learn by repeated engagement in the lesson material. Therefore, your student will learn about dinosaurs through participation in books, rhymes, songs, puppets, and a craft. Each element of the program is designed to target a different learning style. Your child will interact with pictures, listen to stories, sing songs and repeat rhymes about dinosaurs, and complete a dinosaur craft. My goal as a teacher is to create a classroom where everyone is comfortable, engaged, and learning while fostering a love of reading. Through gentle and clear instruction, students will be guided to participate and be curious. Moving smoothly from rhymes to songs, to books, my high energy classroom aims to keep your child smiling, involved, and learning. You may also be interested in another class in my "I Love to . . ." series. Or you may prefer my "Preschool Learning Fun" class which is exactly like this class only it is an ongoing class with a different subject each week. Please refer to the parental guidance section for my muting and spotlighting policies. Students will not need any prior knowledge to attend this class.

Other Details
Parental Guidance
Parents - Precut the craft paper items or provide parent guidance for your student to cut using child-safe scissors.
Muting policy - It is my hope that all students will be unmuted during the class. This allows each student the opportunity to participate in the class and be engaged in the material. My classes are designed to be interactive. I encourage group responses with questions such as [What color is this?], [What sound does a dog make?], and [Let me hear you say Big A!].
However, as these classes take place in the home, background noises, humming, random conversations can cause disruptions. If there are disruptive noises, I will mute an individual or all students. This will ensure that everyone can hear and enjoy the stories and rhymes. During craft time, all students are encouraged to be unmuted.
Also, I acknowledge that every child is unique and if you would like your child to be muted for the storytime, I completely respect and support that decision.
Spotlight policy – The ‘spotlight’ feature in Zoom allows an instructor to ‘spotlight’ an individual video. This means the spotlighted individual remains the largest video and is uninterrupted by other videos. In order to provide your child with the best possible online experience, I will ‘spotlight’ myself after students have arrived and class has begun. However, towards the end of class, I will remove the spotlight. Then, during the craft time, (if you are on ‘speaker’ view) each student will automatically be the featured video as we discuss the class and craft.
