We all need a few minutes each day to remind ourselves that we are confident, strong, capable, and wonderful. In this class, students will take a short break to practice positive affirmations that can help their day go smoothly. This class is only 30 minutes long—just the right amount of time for a refreshing, non-academic activity. We believe it is good practice for everyone to practice affirmations by looking into a mirror and saying, “We CAN do hard things that seem impossible.” We've noticed that this simple practice helps our days run more smoothly and gives us the confidence to tackle difficult tasks. This class is an open discussion, where we start with introductions and then dive into a meaningful conversation about our phrase or word for the week. Each student will take a moment to say affirmations to themselves and share uplifting words with their classmates. It's a wonderful way to build self-confidence and support one another! Join us for a positive and encouraging experience that will leave you feeling empowered and ready to take on the day! Here is a list of weekly topics: Week of September 2nd- My voice matters. Week of September 9th- I accept myself for who I am. Week of September 16th- I choose to think positively. Week of September 23rd- I can take deep breaths. Week of September 30th- Wonderful things are going to happen to me. Week of October 7th- It is enough to do my best. Week of October 14th- Anything is possible. Week of October 21st- I believe in myself. Week of October 28th- I deserve to be loved. Week of November 4th- Today I am a leader. Week of November 11th- I forgive myself for my mistakes. Week of November 18th- I am an amazing person. Week of November 25th- NO CLASS Fall Break Week of December 2nd- My thoughts and feelings are important. Week of December 9th- My mistakes help me learn and grow. Week of December 16th- I can learn anything I put my mind to. Week of December 23rd- NO CLASS Winter Break Week of December 30th- NO CLASS Winter Break Week of January 6th- I engage in small acts of kindness to uplift other people. Week of January 13th- My life is beautiful. Week of January 20th- I can ask for support. Week of January 27th- I am a good listener. Week of February 3rd- I am full of great ideas and thoughts. Week of February 10th- I would want to be my friend. Week of February 17th- I can’t control other people, but I can control how I respond to them. Week of February 24th- I am playful, fun, and creative. Week of March 3rd- I am patient. Week of March 10th- I love making new friends. Week of March 17th- I am unique and special. Week of March 24th- I am ready to start the day. Week of March 31st- I have the confidence to be myself. Week of April 7th- I am strong enough to complete this task. Week of April 14th- I am proud of the person I am becoming. Week of April 21st- I will make the most of this day. Week of April 28th- My brain and body are powerful. Week of May 5th- I am a fighter who doesn’t give up. Week of May 12th- I am wonderful just as I am. Week of May 19th- I like to be challenged so that I can grow. Week of May 26th- Today, I will shine. Week of June 2nd- I am proud of myself and my accomplishments. Week of June 9th- I have great ideas. Week of June 16th- A fresh start is always possible. Week of June 23rd- I will have an amazing day. Week of June 30th- I can ask for help when I need it. Week of July 7th- I will do great things today. Week of July 14th- I have confidence and courage. Week of July 21st- I am capable of doing hard things. Week of July 28th- Today I will spread positivity. Week of August 4th- I am relaxed and calm. Week of August 11th- My problems have solutions. Week of August 18th- I will do my best.
