If you love theropods, this is the class for you! Learners will begin class with a quick ice breaker to help them get to know each other! They can bring a dinosaur toy to class so that they can share their favorite dinosaur with others. We will look at pictures and learn fun facts about the Tyrannosaurus Rex, Allosaurus, Giganotosaurus, and Carnotaurus. We will investigate what they looked like, what they ate, and where they lived. We will read a book called, "We Don't Eat Our Classmates" by Ryan Higgins. Learners will be encouraged to share connections, ask questions, and make share their thinking about the text. After the story, learners will draw a dinosaur. They can choose to follow along to a directed drawing or use their creativity to draw freely. Learners are also welcome to color the coloring sheets and read the fun facts. Finally, we will write a short story about our dinosaur. If time allows, we will read our stories to each other to share our ideas!
