Description
Class Experience
The goal of this course is to type at least 30 WPM and mostly type without having to look at the keyboard. By the end of the sessions, the learner should be able to achieve this!
I type 70 WPM myself and was taught how to type by a court reporter. I learned at a very early age and now I can confidently type without looking at my keyboard. This allows me to direct my focus to the writing on the screen.
Homework will only be assigned if typing work is not completed.
1 file available upon enrollmentWorksheets may be given periodically. Learners must have a keyboard and a sturdy place where they can sit up straight with their feet flat on the floor.

The assessments are typing tests done throughout the courses and will be scored using words per minute. They will get faster at typing by becoming familiar with the keyboard and using the home row strategy.
35 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Younger learners may need help at first to become familiarized with the keyboard. We will be using keyboarding without tears. This platform does not require you to make an account, nor does it require any personal information other than your learner's first name. I add your learner to my class, and they will have a class code to get in.
