Hello! In this class, we are going to meet once a week to begin to learn how to speak and understand Spanish. My goal is to make this class as fun as possible for you, because sitting and listening for a long time is boring, and I don't like that any more than you do! Each class will start with a review of the class before, to make sure we have a solid foundation to build on. You will hear the new vocabulary/grammar, listen to it in context, and get a chance to practice using it. We will...
Students will learn to speak and understand basic Spanish.
Students will be given a list of vocabulary words to study each week. They will be tested the following week at the beginning of class. Towards the end of this course, students will be asked to make a small presentation to share with the class based around this topic (examples: a poster, or a Powerpoint presentation, a chart/drawing... some sort of visual representation of their learning). Topics for these presentations will be issued to your learners to ensure minimal overlap. Details will be given closer to the time.
While I do not require students to take notes, they are welcome to.
Students will be given a letter grade based on their score on the final test, as well as participation, pronunciation and listening skills (these three things will be assessed throughout the class). Each student will receive an online, printable certificate reflecting their achievement.
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
