In this ongoing class, your reader will be introduced to two sight words each session. Picture clues will be used to help with reading several sentences using the sight words for the day. I will be using the Dolch Sight Words for First Grade. *The students will learn individual sight words in isolation, within a sentence and be able to choose a sentence to write and illustrate with a picture to match the sentence chosen.
*I am an experienced elementary reading teacher and have a great love for teaching beginning reading to children. I want my students to be excited about learning to read and I feel that my passion comes thru when teaching the essential reading skills all children need.
