I Can Read Sight and CVC Words While Beat Box Rhyming!

The main goal of the program is to spark excitement among learners by engaging them in reading to solve clues like a detective. Each week, the session begins with reading CVC blends from the word families provided. An interesting practice called beatbox rhyming is implemented after every two words, aiding learners in recognizing rhyming patterns and similar ending sounds. The curriculum includes challenging words consisting of 4-5 letters to further enrich the learning experience. 

During each lesson, a number of adorable dinosaur babies featuring sight words are introduced. Following the reading segment, learners are offered practice worksheets, Kahoot quizzes, engaging online games, and detective worksheets. The detective-themed clues involve unraveling simple math problems to unveil a secret number. Students receive a printable “code” or cipher worksheet, where they match numbers to letters to reveal a hidden word. There are two versions of the detective worksheets available: one focusing on single-digit addition and subtraction, and another incorporating double-digit operations. 

The sessions culminate in a collaborative effort as students share their answers and completed worksheets through video presentations or images within the classroom. The "sentence of the week" incorporates sight words such as "The," "went," "where," "in," "here," "was," "go," "to," "into," "day," "she," "he," "there," "been," "must," "said," and "saw," fostering language development and fluency. 

Unlike traditional live classes, the program delivers a series of engaging video lessons each week through the Outschool virtual classroom platform. The instructional videos are dynamic, showcasing a flip book of letters to spell out new words. Techniques involving sounding out individual letters and blending them are demonstrated to assist learners in reading CVC words effectively. To maintain engagement, interactive games are interspersed every 2 to 4 words, including activities like uncovering cakes hidden behind numbers, deciphering puzzles, and spotting dinosaurs. Students are encouraged to participate by sharing video recordings of themselves reciting the "sentence of the week" or by typing it in the virtual classroom environment
