US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - 2
In this two-day course, the students will learn how to become fluent readers while building a solid phonetic foundation. While engaged in this course, the student will be exposed to explicit vowel instruction while integrating reading and writing. This is a great class for students just learning to read. While taking this class students will become confident in their ability to read because of the one-on-one setting. Day 1- The teacher will introduce/review a phonics skill depending on the level of the learner. The student will practice blending and reading words using the new phonics skill. The student will write words and sentences using the new skill. Day 2- The session will begin with a review of the newly introduced phonics skills. Next, the teacher will expose the student to a reading passage using the new phonics skill. The student will practice reading the passage independently.
Learning Goals
The student will use explicit phonics skills and a variety of comprehension strategies while becoming a fluent reader.Other Details

The student may need a white board and a marker.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
