This class is designed specifically for parents or caring adults to sit with children ages 3-5, and teach them the alphabet. There is not a more nurturing environment than this for a child’s first structured learning experience. In almost all cultures, children learn language skills from hearing the adults around them speak. Therefore, it should be rewarding to hear your child repeat the letters and words after you. Enjoy!
I have an MS in instructional design, so I am aware of how to design learning to fit the needs of an audience or a class, regardless of age. I also have experience with teaching children and young adults for the past two years with various subjects such as ESL, English, math, and HTML. I enjoy teaching young learners in particular, and it brings me joy when they are learning and having fun while doing it.
PowerPoint slides, photos, and other supporting material will be used in this class for young children to understand and follow.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Because this class is designed for learners from ages 4 to 6, it is suggested for parents to be with their children to help facilitate learning.
