In this one-time class, students will utilize Nearpod to practice reading and spelling CVC words both in isolation and in context.
Class experience
In this one-time class, students will practice both phonemic awareness and phonics skills necessary for successful CVC word reading and spelling. Students will be engaged throughout the lesson through Nearpod, which is completely free and allows students to stay engaged throughout the lesson and to get quick feedback from their teacher as they are working. Students (or parents) do NOT need to create an account to participate in the lesson, but will need to be able to access Nearpod either...
Students will build their confidence when reading and spelling CVC words.
I have 6 years of experience as both a General Education and Special Education teacher, working primarily with students in grades K-2 with mild to moderate learning disabilities. I have helped many developing readers build their reading confidence through explicit and systematic phonics instruction and practice.

Students are encouraged to participate in this lesson through Nearpod, which utilizes interactive activities throughout the instructional material.
