Class Experience
When learning to read is fun, kids don't just LEARN to read, they learn to LOVE to read! This class is designed to give children with some beginning reading skill a chance to practice what they already know, as well as to introduce new words and concepts. We do this through reading popular children's books together.
Some of the types of books that you can expect are:
• The Cat in the Hat
• Hop on Pop
• Go Dog, Go!
• Are You My Mother?
• The Cat in the Hat Comes BackI have been an early childhood educator for 20 years, teaching in brick and mortar classrooms, as well as online. My philosophy, when it comes to learning to read has always been this: When learning to read is fun, then reading becomes fun, as well.
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
