Class Experience

In this ongoing course, students will learn sight words (or high frequency words) in order to help them with their reading and writing skills. Each class, we will focus on one sight word by reading different patterned sentences using that word. Students will get an idea of how to use the sight word and how to spell it. 

Students will practice tracing the word, and then they will write their own sentence using the word. I will model examples that students can use or they can create their own...

Students will learn their sight words which will help them become more fluent in reading and writing.

Students will need to print out the sight word reader each week (it will be posted in the classroom before class starts).
They will also need:
- a pencil
- an eraser 
 -yellow crayon, marker, or highlighter
- colored pencils, crayons, or markers

1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
