Class experience
I will teach the multiples of 5! We will sing 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60! Then, we will draw arrays to discuss that multiplication means counting groups of numbers! We will discuss drawing arrays as a strategy for solving multiplication! We will also discuss that skip counting by 5 is another strategy to use when solving a multiplication problem! We will build math fluency by multiplying by 5 together! Students will create flash cards or notes that list the multiplication...
Students will improve their understanding of the multiples of 5, and students will be able to multiply by 5. The largest fact we will discuss is 5 multiplied by 12.
