Beginner - Advanced Level
This drawing course is designed to help the learner look at the world a little differently. I'm a classically trained artist who believes that the while art styles change throughout the ages, there are some skills which are always invaluable. Whether you like drawing realistic portraits or cartoons or anime, this course will help you with the fundamental skills needed to draw really really well. Students will learn traditional drawing techniques and challenge themselves to make REALISTIC illustrations. Come have fun and build your portfolio with me! - Each class will be welcoming and beginner-friendly - We'll begin with line drawing and advance to shading and texturing techniques - Build your portfolio! I love engaging kids and challenging them in in a supportive environment. - How can we show where the light hits the subject matter, or where the darkest shadows are? - How can we make our drawings look wet or smooth or rough or rounded? Show your artwork frequently! Send your drawings to the class chat. I love seeing works in progress too. My goal is the balance challenging my students and creating a fun and inspiring space for them to unleash their creativity. I hope to help them see their own potential. In addition to works in progress, students can send pictures of their artwork weekly to myself and the class for props, feedback, ideas, and suggestions.
