Description
Class Experience
Students will learn to cook a meal they will be proud of.
2 files available upon enrollmentIngredients Half stick of butter 1 small bag Pictsweet Seasoning Blend (freezer section in store; onions, bell pepper, and celery mix in bag) 1 bag frozen shrimp peeled/cleaned tails off Cajun seasoning such as Slap Ya Mama, Tony Chachere's, or McCormick Cajun Seasoning 1 can Rotel Diced Tomatoes and Green Chilies-Choose your spice level. I use the Original. Mild and Hot are also available. 1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup 1 can Cream of Chicken Soup(You can substitute Cream of Celery if you do not eat meat but do eat seafood.) 1 bag or box of rice that you prefer(Minute Rice is super quick and easy.) 1 bag of Sister Schubert's Dinner Yeast Rolls(freezer section in store) or 1 box of saltine crackers Kitchen Supplies 1 stock pot/dutch oven/soup pot/the big pot 1 small pot to cook rice 1 small pan to cook rolls 1 large cooking spoon 1 regular cooking spoon 1 butter knife 1 can opener 1 one cup measuring cup 1 liquid measuring cup
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Students will use the stovetop and oven. If your child is not 100% comfortable using these safely, please be present to assist your child.
