Parents are encouraged to handle the actual baking of the pizza after the conclusion of class in order to ensure safety. Also, if kids want any toppings on their pizzas that need to be cut or chopped, parents are encouraged to either prepare the ingredients themselves before class or to supervise kids in the preparation. All aspects of measuring, mixing, and preparing the dough and topping the pizza should be safe for children to do independently with guidance from the teacher. The recipe used in this class contains allergens, including wheat and dairy. Dairy-free yogurt and gluten-free flour can be substituted 1 for 1 in the recipe. If children have other allergies or dietary restrictions, please contact the teacher prior to class for substitutions.
