Description

Class Experience

In this interactive course, students will brainstorm nouns, verbs, and adjectives that have to do with being thankful. We will go over what it means to be thankful. During the first part of the class, learners will collaborate to make a list of words for each letter of the acrostic poems. These words will be added to PowerPoint slides that students can use for their poems. For the rest of the time, learners will work on creating their own poems and sharing them to the class.

Students will demonstrate their understanding of parts of speech by describing what it means to be thankful.

  1 file available upon enrollmentPrintable templates for the poems will be made available. Learners can choose to print or copy onto separate paper. 

Optional: crayons/colored pencils to decorate final work

30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
