In this interactive course, students will brainstorm nouns, verbs, and adjectives that have to do with being thankful. We will go over what it means to be thankful. During the first part of the class, learners will collaborate to make a list of words for each letter of the acrostic poems. These words will be added to PowerPoint slides that students can use for their poems. For the rest of the time, learners will work on creating their own poems and sharing them to the class. We will go over brief definitions and examples of parts of speech. Learners should have an understanding of what a noun, verb, and adjective are.
Learning Goals
Students will demonstrate their understanding of parts of speech by describing what it means to be thankful.

Hi friends! I cannot wait to learn with you! I earned a degree in Early Childhood and Special Education. Currently, I live in Michigan with my husband and our fur babies. You may even see a guest appearance from some of them!
I believe that learning should be fun and exciting! Learning something new should transport us into a new world where we can use our imaginations to grow ideas. Children need movement and exploration to develop skills- even through a screen! My classes focus on building from the ground up. If we do not have a solid foundation, then we cannot build up too high. My classes are learner focused and I adjust difficulty based on student and parent feedback.
My job as an educational facilitator is to model and provide students with the tools they need to be successful. I am very excited for us to work together to learn skills that we can carry with us on our educational journey.
